Strategic consulting that cultivates clarity and courage to advance peace, justice, and human dignity
Following Your Red Thread
At Red Thread Lab, I believe that meaningful change—whether personal, organizational, or systemic—begins with reconnecting to what matters most.
My approach blends strategic insight with emotional intelligence, technical expertise with compassion, and a firm commitment to equity and integrity. I bring a nuanced understanding of power, politics, and the real-world constraints we face—alongside a steadfast belief in our collective capacity to meet this moment with purpose and care.
This work demands clarity and discernment—now more than ever—as well as a willingness to transforming systems in ways that are both strategic and heartfelt. It requires rigor and reflection, insight and intuition, and above all, trust and authentic relationship.
I create space for reflection and rigor, for intuition and insight—so that leaders and organizations can surface the deeper “why” behind their work, and move forward with coherence, confidence, and heart.
Whether through strategic consulting, coaching, or teaching, I meet clients where they are, help surface what’s true, and co-create what’s possible.
Together, we follow your red thread—the purpose that connects your values, vision, and leadership—to build a more just and peaceful world.

For over two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working on global peace and security and human rights from multiple vantage points—including government, philanthropy, academia, multilateral institutions, and civil society.
I’ve led atrocities prevention initiatives at the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations and at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund. As an educator, I’ve designed and taught courses on decolonizing aid, foreign policy, and international organizations at institutions including Princeton University, the London School of Economics, and UC Berkeley. My scholarship includes numerous publications, including U.S. Foreign Policy on Transitional Justice (2015).
I hold a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies from UC Berkeley, an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex, and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the London School of Economics, where I studied a Marshall Scholar. I am a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and fluent in Spanish.
Today, I bring these experiences to bear in service of individuals and organizations through consulting, coaching, and teaching. For more information, see my LinkedIn profile here.
